Oracle Payments team works with various business units in Oracle to bring new consumer payment offerings to market across the many industries Oracle serves.
As member of the Oracle Payments Product Development team, you will be contributing to the engineering efforts using a variety of technologies to deliver amazing product features that align with our strategic vision and deliver amazing payments experience for our customers.
We build solutions that solve complex business problems in a in a fast-paced, collaborative, inclusive, and iterative delivery environment.
We are seeking a Software Developer in Test (SDET), who has experience implementing automation tests for Java and/or DB-heavy applications (SQL, PL/SQL,…).
Ideally a candidate with excellent skills in functional and automation testing (Selenium, Java).
As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will develop quality standards, control methods and theories to be applied during testing and inspection to access product quality.
You will analyse requirements, develop comprehensive test plans, perform functional tests and automation testing of application, maintain documentation of test results, bug reporting, and identify product feature improvements as part of your test effort
**Key skills which'll make you stand out are:**
+ Intermediate knowledge of PL/SQL or any other procedural database programming language
+ Experience implementing test automation suites hosted in the cloud will be a major advantage
+ Experience with Test Management Tools (JIRA), Automation Tools (Rest Assured, Selenium), CI/CD (Jenkins), Security Testing (ZAP)
+ Ability to manage a QA environment, deploy software updates and troubleshoot issues
+ Ability to work independently
+ Ability to communicate directly with the developers to identify issues and articulate QA requirements.
+ Experience automating UI (mobile or web application) tests
+ Logical thinker, Self-starter & able to deliver projects on time meeting high quality standards with dedication
+ BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent
**The Candidate should have:**
+ Functional testing knowledge
+ Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, positive attitude and a drive to lead the team
+ Solid understanding of software development roles, processes and procedures in the context of Web and Database development
+ Good knowledge of Linux/Shell scripting and Java or Python development
+ Experience of micro service platforms/tools such as Docker and Kubernetes would also make you stand out but would not be a prerequisite
+ Thorough understanding of best software practices (e.g., design, testing, quality, security, performance)
+ Ability to work independently, mentor others and be a highly contributing member of an agile team.
+ Extensive interaction with the user community – both in terms of requirement analysis/gathering and post implementation support
+ Ability to troubleshoot performance issues, debug technical issues, understand product features and limitations.
+ Ability to balance multiple development tasks and assignments simultaneously
+ Solid organizational, planning and tracking skills
+ Creativity and independent judgment in identifying and recommending process improvement
+ Moderately complex problem solving requiring minimal assistance and guidance
+ Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools/languages is a must
